What You’ll Do as a Warehouse Material Handler

As a Warehouse Material Handler at Lamill Coffee, located in our bustling warehouse in Bell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse activities. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and move materials throughout the warehouse, supporting both the production and distribution aspects of our business. Your Daily Tasks as a Warehouse Material Handler

Your day-to-day duties will involve several key activities that keep our warehouse running smoothly:

• Operating Forklifts and Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other industrial equipment to transport materials within the warehouse. Your expertise in handling these machines ensures that materials are moved quickly and without incident.

• Product Placement and Storage: Utilize our inventory systems to correctly place and store products, maintaining the organization and orderliness of the warehouse. This helps us keep track of our stock and ensures easy retrieval when needed.

• Cycle Counts and Inventory Reconciliation: Assist with regular cycle counts to verify inventory levels and reconcile any discrepancies. Your attention to detail will help maintain accurate inventory records and inform necessary adjustments.

• Preparing Materials for Production or Distribution: Prepare raw materials according to the production schedule or distribution requirements. This involves staging materials for the next phase of processing or shipment, ensuring that operations remain uninterrupted.

• Communication with Supervisors: Maintain open communication with supervisors to report any inventory shortages or discrepancies. Your proactive approach helps prevent potential disruptions in the supply chain.

• Loading and Unloading Shipments: Regularly load and unload shipments, ensuring that deliveries are processed promptly and efficiently. Your ability to handle goods with care minimizes damage and loss.

What You Need to Be a Warehouse Material Handler

To excel in this role, you must possess a combination of skills and qualifications that demonstrate your ability to handle the demands of the job:

• Educational and Certification Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is essential. Additionally, a valid forklift certification is required to operate the necessary equipment safely.

Compensation
