What You’ll Do as a Warehouse Associate

As a Warehouse Associate at States Logistics in South Gate, you will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring that our warehouse functions smoothly and efficiently. Your role is pivotal in keeping our supply chain running seamlessly. You’ll be handling a variety of tasks daily, providing essential support to our logistics team. This is a hands-on position where you will engage with both physical and system-based operations, contributing directly to the success of our warehouse activities.

Your Daily Tasks as a Warehouse Associate

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks in our fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment. You’ll be responsible for organizing and storing products in designated areas while maintaining a clean and safe workspace. This ensures that all goods are easily accessible and the warehouse is compliant with safety regulations.

You’ll utilize inventory tracking systems to maintain accurate stock records, ensuring that all products are accounted for and discrepancies are promptly reported to supervisors. Operating basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, is a key part of your role, as is conducting regular inventory counts. You’ll also assist in packing and labeling products for shipment, as well as ensuring that all outgoing orders are complete and correctly processed.

What You Need to Be a Warehouse Associate

To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial, as you’ll be dealing with inventory management and product handling. Experience with inventory systems is a plus, though not mandatory, as we provide comprehensive training. Ideally, you should have at least 1 year of experience as a Warehouse Associate or in a similar role. Must-have skills include reliability, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to your work.
