What You’ll Do as a Warehouse Associate

As a Warehouse Associate at Target’s Aliso Viejo location, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly. This position is all about maintaining efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment. You’ll be at the heart of our logistics team, handling the flow of products that keep our shelves stocked and customers happy. Your day-to-day work will involve a variety of tasks, all aimed at supporting the seamless execution of warehouse operations.

Your Daily Tasks as a Warehouse Associate

Loading and Unloading Trucks

One of your primary responsibilities will be assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks. You’ll work alongside a team to ensure products are moved safely and efficiently, minimizing any potential damage during transit.

Organizing and Storing Products

Once products are unloaded, you’ll organize and store them in designated areas. This task requires a keen eye for detail to ensure that items are placed correctly and are easily accessible for future use.

Inventory Management

You’ll use inventory tracking systems to manage stock levels accurately. This involves scanning barcodes, updating records, and making sure that our inventory is always up-to-date. Regular inventory counts are part of your routine, and you’ll report any discrepancies to your supervisor to help maintain our inventory integrity.

Operating Warehouse Equipment

You’ll operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks. These tools will help you move products efficiently and safely throughout the warehouse.

Maintaining a Clean and Safe Workspace

You’ll contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Safety is a top priority, so you’ll need to follow safety protocols and keep your work area tidy to prevent accidents.

Additional Common Activities

• Assisting with Order Picking and Packing: You’ll help pick and pack orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling for delivery.
• Collaborating with Team Members: Effective communication and teamwork are essential as you coordinate with colleagues to meet daily goals and deadlines.

What You Need to Be a Warehouse Associate

Educational and Experience Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1+ years of experience as a Warehouse Associate is preferred.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and endure long periods of standing.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with inventory systems is a plus, but not mandatory.

Hands-On Abilities

• Proficient in operating warehouse equipment.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
