## What You'll Do as a Warehouse Material Handler

As a Warehouse Material Handler at our Vernon location, you'll play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our facility. Our warehouse is a dynamic environment where you'll be responsible for the seamless movement and storage of materials. This is a hands-on position where your daily efforts will directly contribute to our productivity and success. In this role, you’ll be an essential part of the team, ensuring that materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there.

## Your Daily Tasks as a Warehouse Material Handler

### Operating Equipment
Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other industrial equipment to transport materials throughout our warehouse. You will need to ensure that all products are moved and stored according to our inventory management systems, maintaining organization and accessibility.

### Inventory Management
You’ll assist with regular cycle counts and help reconcile inventory discrepancies. This involves preparing and organizing raw materials for production or distribution, which requires a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Communicating effectively with your supervisors about any inventory shortages or discrepancies will be key to maintaining our supply chain operations.

### Additional Responsibilities
- **Loading and Unloading**: You will be involved in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring that all products are handled with care to prevent damage.
- **Maintaining Cleanliness**: Keeping the warehouse clean and organized is a crucial part of the job. This includes managing waste and ensuring all aisles are clear and safe for operations.
- **Safety Checks**: Conducting daily equipment inspections to ensure all machinery is functioning properly and safely.

## What You Need to Be a Warehouse Material Handler

### Educational and Certification Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent. A forklift certification is mandatory, as this position heavily relies on the use of such equipment.

### Experience and Skills
We require at least 2 years of experience in material handling within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. You should possess strong hands-on abilities, particularly in operating industrial equipment and managing heavy loads. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
