What You’ll Do as a Warehouse Associate

As a Warehouse Associate at Virgin Galactic’s Canoga Park facility, you’ll be at the heart of our logistics operations. Your Daily Tasks as a Warehouse Associate

Loading and Unloading

Your day will begin with assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks. This involves handling high volumes of materials and ensuring that each item is transported safely and efficiently. You’ll use pallet jacks and hand trucks to move products to their designated areas, optimizing space and maintaining order within the warehouse.

Inventory Management

One of your key responsibilities will be to maintain and track inventory levels using our state-of-the-art inventory tracking systems. Accuracy is essential here, as you’ll need to conduct regular inventory counts and report any discrepancies to your supervisor promptly. This ensures that our supply chain remains unbroken and that every department has what it needs to succeed.

Organization and Maintenance

Keeping the warehouse organized and safe is a vital part of your role. You’ll ensure that products are stored correctly, maintaining clean and designated areas. Regularly inspecting equipment and storage conditions to meet safety standards will be part of your daily routine. Additionally, you’ll assist in packing and labeling shipments, preparing them for timely dispatch.

Additional Responsibilities

Other common tasks include assisting with order picking and packing, coordinating with delivery drivers for shipment schedules, and participating in team meetings to discuss workflow improvements. These activities help keep our operations streamlined and efficient.

What You Need to Be a Warehouse Associate

Educational and Physical Requirements

To thrive in this role, a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary. You’ll need the physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, as the job demands significant physical activity.

Skills and Experience

A minimum of 1+ years of experience as a Warehouse Associate or in a similar field is preferred. Key skills include strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. While experience with inventory systems is advantageous, we provide comprehensive training to ensure you’re equipped with the necessary skills.
